There once was a little girl who sat in a small boat down the yellow brook.
She had a small round face, long black hair and a pair of gleaming eyes that’s full of
ambitions. She would sit all day in her little bobbing boat watching every creature that swims, floats and flies around her with interest, curious eyes and wonder.
One day while sitting on her boat, she saw a butterfly around her bobbing boat and she said to herself, “Someday, I want to be a butterfly. I could fly around from flower to flower.” She watched as the butterfly flew away.
Then she noticed a frog from the riverbank watching her intently with big bulging eyes. She said, “Oh, hi Mr. Frog, don’t you think being a butterfly is neat? “ The frog continued to stare still.
Then suddenly she saw a school of fish passing by then said, “Ah, Mr. Frog maybe I would be a fish then, swimming with my friends and eat seafood all day!”
While wondering whether to be a fish or a butterfly, she saw birds fluttering their wings and passed over her head to migrate and she said, “Umm, maybe I could be a bird. I would fly all day and eat fruits from tree to tree. I would like to see the world under my feet..I mean claws or whatever and feel the wind brushing against my tiny head and face and I would fly on top of the world! Oh, that would be lovely Mr. Frog, don’t you thing so? Yes, I definitely would like to be a bird!” The frog just croaked in reply.
Thinking, she cast off the rope and said as she began to float away, “Hey Mr. Frog, would you like to go with me on my journey down the river?” the frog continued to watch her intently with its big eyes. Then she said, “Hmm..maybe I could be a captain. Yes, a captain of a little pink ferry boat and I would steer my own boat to the sea and to many adventures!” And she talked on and on as her little boat floated on the peaceful river.
And as for the huge-eyed frog, it seemed to shake its head then jumped to a pond nearby.
